Interactive Multi-Channel Sound Installation In-process Showing

Qiu works with hydrophones to capture sound from different depths of  Lake Michigan. Then, she transforms the field-recording audio into a multi-channel sound installation to recreate the spatial listening experience for the audience. 

Interacting with this multi-channel sound installation must be going on with 6 people. Stand into the 6-speaker circle, and face one of the speakers. Pick on a pipe and put it close to one of your ears. Gradually move the pipe closest to the speaker and listen. Move to the next speaker when you feel the need of moving forward.
